Friendship — A Bond That Transcends All

Aren’t friends wonderful? The way they wade with you through troubled waters. The way they guide you through thickets. The way they dance with you in the rain and soak with you in the sunshine. Aren’t they precious?

Hold them tight, look into their eyes and let them know that they matter. Some people are meant to be more, more of everything. Hope you choose them not once, not twice, but every time. It is not the right thing to do, it is the best thing to do. I hope you express what you feel each day, every day.

Stand right there, hold on tight not when it is easy but when it gets tough. When you don’t talk for months altogether. Make them smile not when they are happy but when the sky thunders. Never let the clouds blear your vision. Hug them for who they are. Love them for their quirks. They are the family you have chosen. Some bonds are beyond blood ties, some eyes are meant to be your home. Some arms will always welcome you with unconditional love and acceptance, no matter what. Some people will never get tired of loving you. The next time you count your blessings, I hope you realise that you have plenty of reasons to be thankful about.

They matter and they should know it. Don’t wait for a random tomorrow which may never come. Now is all that you have, you cannot stop the sands of time but you can always make the most of what you have. I hope you live each day as it comes, one blessing at a time.
